It's Fall....

Well, time flies when we're having fun!!!  Finishing up Baseball, loving football, and enjoying band.  Tiernon played Fall Baseball this year.  Our family loves some baseball, but Babe Ruth is BORING...I equate it with watching grass grow.  I hope, if he decides to play HS ball, it is more interesting.  Tiernon also talked us into letting him play MS Football.  I was against it because of his size, but he and Reggie talked me into it.

The first play of the first game, he got hit so hard he spent a few minutes on the ground.  I had a eerie feeling when I saw the corn fed boys come onto the field.  Later, I found out the other team didn't have enough 7th graders, so they added a few 8th graders (explaining their size).  We lost, but I think it should have been a draw, considering the unevenness of the teams.

Tiernon did make the newspaper.

Mom and Dad even had team spirit!!!

Today, Rylee won his division game, so tomorrow he will be heading to the championship game.  I'm excited to get to see it.  I got a few pics of him at his last game.

McKayle is doing well in band...they did the Fair circuit this year.  They placed 9th in the State Fair, which was cool.  Today is their last competition of the year.  It is in Franklin.  I got a few good pic of him.

Brevin participated in Homecoming week at school (which surprised us).  One day was nerd day...hahaha, I know.  But he did a good job of dressing up.

We even took a stab at decorating the front door for fall.  I looked and looked for a wreath, but nothing tickled my fancy.  So, I went on a hunt at JoAnne Fabrics....this is what I put together.

So that where we are in life.  The first nine weeks will be ending soon, and Reggie and I are going on a few get-a-ways in the near future, and we can't forget about our annual weekend Fall Break trip.  I always seem to blog about that.  Welp, see ya later alligator!!!

Pey-Back Classic

The boys got a once in a life time experience last night.  While many kids got to go to the Classic, they were in Upper Level Boxed seats. I didn't get any focused pics of our suite, but one of another suite came out clear.

I did get a few good shots of the boys enjoying the game in their seats.
McKayle was near the field playing with the band.

Being able to perform on the field will be a FOREVER memory.  I am so happy our band was able to experience this event.

It was nice to see Peyton at the game as well.  He wouldn't take an individual picture with us, but he allowed us to take an up close pic.  It was very cool.

And to top it all off.....WE WON!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Whelp, we have one week under our belt of this New Year. For me, 2009 went out with a bang...that's for sure. I hate to dredge it up, so I'll let by-gones be by-gones. New Attitude!!!

I've come up with a few resolutions:
1. Have Less; Experience More.
2. Use PEEP (a place for everything and everything in its place)

Because my job is so hurry - wait...hurry - wait. I have a lot of time to do nothing. So, over the year, I've filled that time with shopping. Sometimes I just window shop, and other times I spend. At the end of the year I looked over my bank statements, just to see where my money has gone. You would not, could not, imagine the number of on-line transactions I have made.

Resolution #1. I realized I needed after reading and watching what the Happiest People on Earth do to stay happy....and above all, they renounce THINGS. This allows them to experience more without the need for things to hold them down or hold them back. Recently, Oprah had an episode where she visited Denmark. What a county. The people are amazing. Scandinavian living is something I could get use to. I love the architecture and the minimal living. The food looks scrumptious. I agree with their ways of looking at the world, the community and relationships. I wish our lawmakers would take a hard look at Denmark. I know taxes are high....but for a good reason. Ok, enough about Denmark....my point is they have less stuff and are seemingly more happy.

My second resolution is contingent on the first, I realize this. But with that in mind, it will be easier for me to accomplish goal #1. If it doesn't have a place, it GOES.

I'm looking for 2010 to be a year of personal growth. I am waiting with baited breath to see what 2010 has in store for me and mine.

See ya in a few days....we are going on VACATION....can't wait to post!!!
